Hickory Sunrise Rotary at Foothills Veterans Stand Down

Stand down 2015 038As in previous years, Hickory Sunrise Rotary Members helped out at the Foothills Veterans Stand Down held on April 24th 2015 at the Catawba County Fairgrounds. Veterans attending the event have access to a range of services, such as dentistry, opportunities to meet with VA officials, employment advice and army surplus items. Rotarian Ric Vandett (right) is one of the driving forces behind the event, while other members pitched in with the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch for veterans and volunteers.
