Hickory Sunrise Rotary Citrus Sale – Back by Popular Demand

It’s that time of year again! Hickory Sunrise Rotary has begun its annual citrus fruit sale. It’s a great opportunity to get some top quality Florida oranges, grapefruits or tangelos at a really great price, and with all profits going to the causes supported by Hickory Sunrise Rotary.

Every year, customers ask us how our fruit tastes so good and stays fresh so long. It’s simple really. Our supplier harvests the fruit the same day it ships to us. Other suppliers sell fruit that’s been harvested weeks in advance and then placed in cold storage. You end up with fruit that’s months old and lacking in flavor.

To order, choose from the options below and email us, or call 828-464-1565. We’ll let you know when your fruit is ready to pick up.

Hickory Sunrise Rotary Supports the Carolina Cycle Challenge

Hickory Sunrise Rotary has joined with other Rotary Clubs in the Catawba Valley to support the Carolina Cycle Challenge, taking place this year on October 16th.

The Carolina Cycle Challenge is the successor to the much loved Bret’s Ride, created in 2004 in honor of Bret Gosnell with the aim of raising money to help fight the pediatric cancer which claimed the life of this extraordinary young man. In that time, it has raised over $1 million. We will be providing volunteers on the day and during the build-up to the ride and have already begun recruiting sponsors for the event.

Welcome

Hickory Sunrise is the most diverse club in western North Carolina – a fact that makes us proud! Service in our community and participation in international projects are a vital part of what we, as Rotarians, want and have a passion to do.

This year, we will continue to strengthen our Club through new membership, service and educational initiatives with a focus on children. Embracing Service Above Self and sharing the Rotary story through collaborative partnerships, fellowship and work will ensure that lives will continue to be changed – here in our community and abroad.

We invite you to join us or if you would like to speak with someone about Hickory Sunrise, please contact us.

Yours in Rotary Service,
Richard Tucker, President
